In a Festival debut, the world comes to Darwin with a veritable feast of sounds from around the globe, including Indonesia, China and Indigenous Australia.

From Beijing via the Silk Road, audaciously mixing their traditional origins with Western influences, Askar Grey Wolf resonates with a magnetic blend of Turkish rhythm, raw vocals and exhilarating pace.

From Indonesia’s creative heartland Yogyakarta, musical superstars Shaggy Dog perform their very special brew of music ”Doggy Style”. It’s an irresistible high energy mix of ska, reggae, jazz, swing and rock.

The Yabu Band has created a powerful, distinctive sound aptly described as Desert Rock Reggae. Merging traditional dreamtime stories with contemporary beats, they are one of Australia’s hottest Indigenous bands.
