Goose Lagoon tells a beautiful tale of love, magic and mysticism, set against the spectacular backdrop of Arnhem Land’s northern floodplains during the annual goose hunting season. We follow the fate of a young girl caught between two worlds, thwarted by evil.
Incorporating innovative puppetry and the traditional songlines of the Djapu clan of North East Arnhem land, this extraordinary dance production weaves together ancient dance, story and cultural expression with contemporary performance. Choreographed by Gary Lang, this will provide students with unique insights into traditional and contemporary cultural expression through the medium of contemporary dance theatre.
