In the thirty years since its inception, Darwin Festival has grown enormously in both the sizes of its audiences and the richness of our artistic offerings. Key to our success is our innovative programming that reflects the beauty and diversity of the Territory’s unique cultural landscape. To ensure this growth in years to come and to continue to present performances that reflect the essence of what makes the Territory great, we must strive to develop, nurture and present works by our own, local artists.

The Darwin Festival attracts strong local and national media coverage and was attended by over 53 000 people in 2005, 58,000 in 2006, 70,000 in 2007 and 76,000 in 2008.
