Planned Giving Program

2010 Darwin Festival Partners | Darwin Festival Giving Program | Become a Darwin Festival Partner

In the thirty years since its inception, Darwin Festival has grown enormously in both the sizes of its audiences and the richness of our artistic offerings.  Key to our success is our innovative programming that reflects the beauty and diversity of the Territory’s unique cultural landscape. To ensure this growth in years to come and to continue to present performances that reflect the essence of what makes the Territory great, we must strive to develop, nurture and present works by our own, local artists.

The Darwin Festival Giving Program aims to find supporters that will invest in the development of our local artists and help create opportunities for these artists to share their unique stories with ever greater audiences across the Territory, across the country and to the rest of the world.

The Planned giving program will support us to:

  • make and program new performances with NT artists and companies, with an emphasis on Indigenous and cross-cultural performance;
  • stimulate sustainable employment opportunities for local artists;
  • develop new Indigenous talent and assist more established artists in producing presentation and tour-ready works;
  • stimulate the local arts industry with the introduction of new creative influences and talents;
  • broker relationships by introducing specialist mentors and peers to work on projects alongside local talent, raising local standards and supporting local artists in their own professional development.
