Want to be part of a Guitar Orchestra?

Darwin Festival is forming an army of guitar players to create a giant orchestra of guitarists for a special festival event.

Committed guitarists from all genres and backgrounds are welcome. You should be able to read music and/or tab to a competent level (good familiarity with the fretboard important), own an acoustic or steel string guitar and be able to commit to the following rehearsal times:

Weekly rehearsals every Thursday from 6pm – 7:30pm at Charles Darwin University.  

Intensive rehearsals with the composer over the following dates and times:
Fri 21 Aug:   6pm – 10pm
Sat 22 Aug:   10am – 5pm
Sun 23 Aug:   10am – 5pm
Mon 24 Aug:   6pm – 10pm
Tues 25 Aug:   Rehearsal/ sound check 2pm – 6pm and Performance 8pm – 10pm

Still interested but less experienced?

For those of you who are less experienced but still want a little of the limelight, there will be a smaller ensemble formed for this event. Music reading skills are not essential for this ensemble. Weekly rehearsals for this group will take place on Thursdays starting 23 July from 6pm – 7pm, at the NT Music School, Old Nightcliff Road, Nightcliff.
