DAAF IS GOING DIGITAL IN 2021
The 15th Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) is returning to an online visitor experience in 2021. Over six days you can experience the rich diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, design and culture from wherever you are in the world.
The only national event of its kind, DAAF has secured a reputation as one of the country’s most significant and internationally recognised arts events, creating a unique opportunity to connect with, and ethically purchase, artwork directly from over 70 Indigenous-owned Art Centres. The online event is free to attend and takes no commission on artworks sold, ensuring that 100% of all sales made go directly back to support the artists and their communities.
DAAF converted to a digital event for the first time in 2020, attracting its largest ever global audience. This year, the platform returns with reengineered features and interactivity to further enhance the user experience.
A vibrant program of artist masterclasses, traditional dance and cultural performances, food workshops, artists talks, children’s activities and music experiences will be hosted through the DAAF website. Register for early-bird access and engage with the contemporary creations of the oldest continuous living culture in the world.
The DAAF Foundation are also proud to once again be presenting the Country to Couture fashion runway showcase and the National Indigenous Fashion Awards, celebrating First Nations’ fashion and textile design.
