2025 TELSTRA NATIONAL ABORIGINAL AND TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER ART AWARDS

Free Event

Explore, engage and celebrate Australia’s vibrant Indigenous art scene

The 2025 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) is a celebration of contemporary Indigenous art.

Held as the sun sets on Larrakia Country, the Telstra NATSIAA Awards Ceremony celebrates the artistic practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. Now in its 42nd year, the Awards Ceremony will honour some of the most talented established and emerging artists in the country. We invite you to join us for this spectacular ceremony as we announce and congratulate the 2025 Telstra NATSIAA winners.

This free event, featuring a stellar line-up of Australian musicians, delivers world-class performances you don’t want to miss, including Darwin’s much-loved musician and acclaimed singer-songwriter, Leah Flanagan. Guest performer, Mudburra and Garrawa woman, Eleanor Jawurlngali’s, ethereal voice will mesmerise as she weaves traditional language and English with her collaborator Mick Turner from the Dirty Three.

Headline act Velvet Trip from Wiradjuri man Zeppelin Hamilton will take the night to a whole new level. Described as a psychedelic music project and performed live by Zeppelin and his band of musicians, this is their first performance in Darwin!

Bring your picnic rug and arrive early to secure a good position. Food and drink will be available from the Food Village and licensed bar.

Presented by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and Principal Partner Telstra
