After sold-out shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Perth FRINGE WORLD, two of Australia’s funniest First Nationers are bringing the belly laughs to Darwin Festival. As seen on Have You Been Paying Attention? and ABC TV’s Comedy Up Late, Dane Simpson with his hilarious dad jokes and glorious cynic Matt Ford are putting the ‘rad’ in traditional.
Dane Simpson was a Melbourne International Comedy Festival Deadly Funny national finalist in 2015 and since then it has been a rapid trajectory for this Wagga-based comedian with a whirlwind of tours and TV appearances.
Matt Ford is much in demand on the Brisbane comedy circuit. His acerbic observations and hilariously blunt delivery won him acclaim at the age of 16, when he took first prize at the Class Clowns national teenage comedy competition. Still in his early 20s, he carries the demeanour of a cranky 40-year-old.
Together in Aborigi-LOL this comedy duo is solid Aussie comedy gold.
‘What a cracking show! Dane Simpson and Matt Ford have distinctive styles and a touch of the Holy Grail in comedy: chemistry.’
‘A stylish performance that creeps up your funny bone.'
