Music Northern Territory

Free Event

Since 2018 the Alice Springs World Chamber Orchestra has delighted classical music lovers with their own special Central Australian take on some of the world’s best-loved music.

The aspiration behind this desert orchestra is to present a fine mix of classical contemporary chamber music with a touch of the outlandish. Their diverse program ranges from Bach, Mozart, Schubert to Piazzolla, Vaughan Williams, Morricone, Sculthorpe, Elena Kats-Chernin, Max Richter, Arvo Pårt and even Radiohead, so you’re in for a real treat when they perform a free concert at Casuarina Square this Festival.
