The Beginning of Nature

Presented by Darwin Entertainment Centre in association with Darwin Festival

Weaving together music and astonishingly powerful contemporary dance, The Beginning of Nature is a compelling and ritualistic work from world-renowned Australian Dance Theatre. Grace and strength combine to create an evocative depiction of the complex symphony of rhythms in nature.

Portrayed by nine stellar dancers, this extraordinary work explores nature’s life cycles, metamorphosis and transformation. The spellbinding score combines electronica, strings and a libretto sung in Kaurna language, the first language of the Adelaide Plains, performed live on stage by two vocalists and a string quartet.
