Combining the pure pop attitude of Charli XCX with the energy and swagger of The Beastie Boys, a Haiku Hands show is guaranteed to make you groove.
Based across Melbourne and Sydney, the core of Haiku Hands is Beatrice Lewis, Claire Nakazawa and Mie Nakazawa. Together they curate, perform and work as a collective of artists, engaging and exploring social norms with their lyrical and visual content. Their influences range from hip-hop to pop, electronic to dance, and everything beyond and their singular, rebellious and outright fun sound and ecstatic performances have made them an absolute must-see live band.
The group released their debut self-titled album in September 2020 to rave reviews from Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Clash, NME and more. During the pandemic, Haiku Hands produced a livestream in partnership with several Australian production companies and have kept busy with podcast interviews, music video, and several successful remixes with national and international acts. Hot on the heels of a live dance party and performance at Sydney Festival in 2021, they bring their new material along with all their old faves to the tropics for the very first time.
Don’t miss Haiku Hands doing what they do best – performing huge dance bangers made for partying along to.
