From Tamblang to Palmerston, Tutup Mulut uses analog synths and drum machines alongside traditional Indonesian gamelan to create a unique soundscape and live experience.
Tutup Mulut (I Made Liam Budalasia) is a local multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist, whose focus is cross cultural collaboration and creation. Working alongside fellow multidisciplinary artist Demirep (Jocelyn Tribe) the duo explores their mixed-race heritage through sound and art. Traditional Indonesian sounds meet hip hop and electronica to create a genre fluid explosion that brings bass-infused boom bap to strung out hypnotic overtures.
Join Tutup Mulut on a late-night electro acoustic Indonesian space music journey.
