NATIONAL INDIGENOUS FASHION AWARDS

Free Event

Presented as part of the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation’s Indigenous Fashion Projects

Welcome to the very first National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA), a new event that showcases Australian Indigenous fashion and design to the world.

The amazing success of the annual fashion show Country to Couture has led to the creation of the National Indigenous Fashion Awards! Country to Couture has been postponed for 2020, but the NIFA promises to be a great celebration of this emerging industry.

The Northern Territory champions the field of Indigenous art and culture, and is at the forefront when it comes to capturing the magic of cultural storytelling and knowledge sharing in new and innovative ways. The NIFA recognises and celebrates the emerging Indigenous designers who are achieving this through fashion and textiles.
