Rainbow Chan is a vocalist, producer and multi-disciplinary artist who has built a reputation as one of the most innovative musicians in Australia.
Driven by a DIY spirit, Chan melds catchy melodies and off-kilter beats made up of field-recordings and found sounds. Both heartbreaking and tender at once, her idiosyncratic brand of pop holds a mirror up to diasporic experiences as well as deeply personal tales of love and loss.
Born in Hong Kong, now based in Sydney, this experimental pop star performs live in Darwin for the first time, delivering her signature mix of electronics, live loops, saxophone and captivating vocals. This innovative multi-disciplinary artist showcases songs from her latest full-length album Pillar as well as new songs from her upcoming body of work, accompanied by the mesmerising live visual works of Carla Zimbler.
