Presented by Darwin Visual Arts
Gurambai is the Larrakia name for the area now known as Rapid Creek and means elbow, referring to the shape of the creek at the salt water end. The Rapid Creek Artist Collective are a group of creatives deeply grateful to create, live, love, teach and learn on Larrakia land.
Aly de Groot, Katie Bradley, Catherine Miles, Alison Dowell, Russell Mead, Henry and Fernanda Dupal have diverse and dynamic practises that range across textiles, painting, ceramics, jewellery and printmaking, and serendipitously they all live within walking distance of one another.
This talented group of creatives have pulled their skills together to showcase a fresh exhibition inspired by their Rapid Creek home.
