Presented by Salon Art Projects in association with Kaltjiti Arts
Kaltjiti community is situated in the far northwest corner of South Australia and lies between the Everard and Musgrave Ranges in the Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. In the heart of this small community sits the Kaltjiti Art Centre, a powerhouse of creativity and cultural knowledge. Through their artworks, elders and senior artists teach younger generations about important cultural traditions and stories, passing on knowledge that has come to them from their ancestors. This exhibition is a survey of works that are both compelling and powerful: They are Rikina!
