Led by brothers Adrian and Kaspar Schmidt Mumm, Adelaide group Slowmango blur the borders between visual art and music.
Their globetrotting sound blends influences from around the world – from Ethiopian Jazz and Thai Funk to West African Disco and Peruvian Psych – into a sweet and spicy buffet of psychedlic grooves. Through relentless gigging and jamming, the five-piece have found a sweet spot between their international inspirations, developing a sound which invokes moments of compulsive danceability and upbeat celebration, without forgetting Sunday mornings and afternoon drives.
Slowmango have gained notoriety for their immersive and highly energetic live shows, often involving hand-made costumes and packed-out dancefloors. They are known for pushing the edge of music performances by involving captivating visual and performative elements to create a colourful and eccentric world.
Supporting them on the night is electro violinist and Humpty Doo darling Gaia.
