They created lasting memories in 2021, and our stunning illuminated smacks of jellyfish are back lighting up Festival Park.
Multidisciplinary home-grown fibre artist Aly de Groot ins well-known for celebrating the unique fauna and flora of the Top End. For this installation she combines this obsession with her other passions for marine conservation and basketry to create ethereal jellyfish art-forms from discarded fishing line and recycled fabrics. Wherever you turn in our Festival hub you’ll see these jellyfish hanging from the trees. Wish Upon a Jellyfish, invites you to take a moment with one of these luminous creations to weave a wish for a brighter future.
Join the artist in a workshop to create your own ethereal jellyfish or bid online to adopt a jellyfish with funds going to Territory Wildlife Rescue.
