Some tips for visiting this year’s City of Darwin Teddy Bears’ Picnic

Get ready, steady teddy for everyone’s favourite big day out for the littlies.

Yes City of Darwin Teddy Bears’ Picnic is coming up on Sunday – and this year all the fun can be found in Festival Park.

We have a different venue and we’re in a very different year, so, you guessed it, things are going to be a little bit different.

First up, before you come out, register your name and mobile number with us so we can keep everyone COVID safe. You only have to register once for your family group but you will have to show your confirmation SMS at the gate for entry. Capacity is limited at Festival Park so there may be a queue to get in (and sorry but registering your contact details does not guarantee entry). Oh and you’ll find the entrance to Festival Park on Smith Street.

Bring a cushion or picnic blanket (no chairs please) and of course Teddy to set up in the Park. Please keep 1.5m distance (except from your own bubble), wash or sanitise regularly and most importantly if you or any of the little ones are feeling unwell please stay home.

It all kicks off at 9am and there’ll be food and drink available to purchase, and of course plenty of fun for the whole family across the Rimfire Energy Bamboo Bandstand and Sunset Stage.

Team Fun will host the morning’s entertainment and here’s a run down of what’s on when so you can plan when you drop by:
