Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF)

From 7-14 Aug,  you can go online to see incredible art from Indigenous Art Centres from around the country. As part of this year’s digital fair you can buy directly from the Art Centres and also sign up to be part of a rich program of workshops, panel discussions, food experiences and more. For early bird access to the Fair on 6 Aug, visit the event page and register with DAAF.

National Indigenous Fashion Awards

This inaugural event will be held on Wed 5 Aug, just before the Festival officially starts. Register your interest in attending to be sent an event reminder, add it to your calendar  and then you’ll be taken to the live streaming of the awards ceremony.

Morning Music by Eric Avery

Every morning of the Festival, from 6-16 Aug,  you can listen to a violin and piano performance from Eric Avery. Just visit the Morning Music web page, click on Experience Now at 7am and you’ll hear the sublime sounds wherever you happen to be. Add the event to your calendar to make sure you don’t forget – it’ll be the perfect morning wake up!

National Indigenous Music Awards

Traditionally held on the opening Saturday night of the Festival, this year’s celebration of the best in Indigenous Music is going ahead online. Register your interest to be in the know, then tune in on Sat 8 Aug for the live stream. Add the event to your calendar to make sure you don’t miss out!

Register online to receive a fun new dance GIF every day of the Festival. Fill out the online form to register and the team will send their latest creation vis SMS at whatever time it’s ready. These dances are being choreographed and shot in locations around Darwin each day and part of the fun is not knowing when you’ll get your daily dance!
