Darwin Festival in Palmerston: Family Fiesta
Palmerston – we’re back! And we’re bringing a huge Friday night of Festival fun for the whole family.
Snap up a bargain at the market stalls, get your fill of some delicious food and discover free entertainment at every turn. There is so much to enjoy – and get involved in.
Circus, musical moments, dancing and more take place on the big stage and throughout the square. Witness a new acrobatic collaboration from world-renowned circus company Gravity and Other Myths and local stars from Corrugated Iron.
Learn some deadly new dance moves with legendary Torres Strait Islander dancer Albert David, backed by the Gaba Gaba Bayan drummers from across the Pacific led by PNG/Australian master drummer Airileke.
Follow three cockatoos on a journey of culture, connection and care for Country in Birmba. Be enchanted by the powerful stories of Yalanji songwoman Deline Briscoe before Fiesta will get everyone up and dancing where you can take your new found mambo moves to the dance floor with a live band.
This is one fun, feel-good event you won’t want to miss!
