Booking Tickets
Tickets can be booked online, by phone or in person at the Festival Park box office.
How to Book Accessible Tickets
- Please check the event and venue accessibility details on our website before booking or contact the Darwin Festival Box Office via email or phone if you need assistance. See the ‘Venue Accessibility’ section below for more information.
- When booking online, make sure to indicate your access requirements prior to payment so we can support you and inform venue staff.
- If you cannot stand for long periods and are attending a standing event, please contact us ahead of time. Accessible arrangements are available but require prior notice.
- For AANT Centre (formerly Darwin Entertainment Centre) events, accessible seating is reserved and cannot be booked online. To book accessible seating, please get in touch via email or phone.
Companion Cards
Darwin Festival supports the Companion Card program. Companion Card holders are entitled to receive a second, complimentary ticket to the same session for a carer or companion (subject to availability) upon purchase of their own ticket.

Please note that for our foodie events, companions who wish to enjoy the food and beverage options will need a purchased ticket.
How to register your Companion Card with Darwin Festival
To register your Companion Card, verify it in your Darwin Festival account. Click here to go directly to the correct page on the website.
- Click the 'Verify Companion Card Details' link and enter your information
- Once you see the message "Companion Card applied to your account", the Companion Card scheme will be active and you can start booking tickets straight away.
- You can book one Companion Card ticket per performance on this website. If you're booking for a group that includes multiple Companion Card holders, please contact us.
To check if your Companion Card has already been added to your account, select 'My account', at the top right of the home screen, followed by 'My details' and then 'Companion Card'.

How to book a Companion Card ticket
To book a Companion Card ticket with Darwin Festival, first log in to your account.
If your Companion Card is registered with Darwin Festival, you can add one Companion Card ticket per performance when purchasing a paid ticket online. This option will appear in the ticket type drop-down menu.
Please note: the Companion Card holder must be able to present their card to Front of House staff on the night if requested.

Access Symbols
The symbols on this page indicate the accessibility features of each event. Look for them next to the venue name on the event page.
Wheelchair Accessible: This symbol indicates that the venue is wheelchair accessible. If the symbol is not displayed, level access may be limited.
Outdoor Access: Pathway is outdoors and may not be level, firm or obstacle free.
The Esplanade, Festival Park, Sitzler Festival Lawn, Night Quarter and Darwin Amphitheatre are suitable for assisted wheelchair access.
Stair Access Only: This venue only has entry via stairs.
Language No Barrier: Events with this symbol contain minimal language and are suitable for audiences who speak English as a second language.
High Auditory Content: Events with this symbol are predominantly sound based, so people who are blind or have low vision can have close to the full event experience.
Sensory Friendly: Events with this symbol have been created to be less sensory-stimulating and overwhelming. They have a relaxed attitude to noise and movement, and audience members can move about during the show.
Auslan Interpretation: Events with this symbol have Auslan interpreted performances thanks to our partnerships with Deaf Connect and Auslan Stage Left.
