Salon des Refusés
Salon des Refusés is the companion exhibition to the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (Telstra NATSIAA).
Showcasing works submitted but not selected for Telstra NATSIAA, the Salon highlights the extraordinary breadth and strength of First Nations arts practice across the country. It offers audiences a rare and compelling window into contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art — both where the movement has come from and where it is heading.
More than an alternative selection, Salon des Refusés is its own powerful celebration of creative excellence and cultural expression.
