ARCO

Adam Kelly & James Berlyn
Adam Kelly is, in his own words, an autistic gentleman – and his friend is a fish called Finbar.

Adam thinks that asking someone what it feels like to live with autism is pretty much like asking a fish (i.e. Finbar) if it knows it’s in water, which is pretty funny if you think about it.

ARCO is his award-wining show about living with autism or, in Finbar the fish’s case, living in water. Highly engaging and unflinchingly honest, the show takes a glimpse into a young man’s life as he navigates connection, belonging and the complexities of romantic relationships. Along the way Adam gently asks his audience to consider life from his perspective.

Blending storytelling, playful imagination and interaction ARCO considers Adam’s experiences of rejection, celibacy and optimism.
