The Australian Ballet
The Nutcracker Act II and Other Works
Experience the magic of a night out at the ballet.
The Australian Ballet is going on tour with a program of classical favourites and exciting new works.
Performed by students of The Australian Ballet School and members of The Australian Ballet company, On Tour will captivate audiences in Darwin.
The program will showcase highlights from our extensive repertoire, including Act II of The Nutcracker (adapted by Paul Knobloch), the delicate yet powerful Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux by George Balanchine, and two world premieres - Stephanie Lake’s Chrysalis and Sandra Parker’s We Dance.
This unforgettable experience is perfect for both existing ballet lovers and those discovering the joy of ballet for the first time.
Youth Masterclass
Join The Australian Ballet for a special class as part of The Nutcracker Act II and other works tour. Led onstage by the Artistic Staff of The Australian Ballet, students will have the chance to refine their skills and learn techniques used by the company’s own dancers to improve alignment and movement. These non-syllabus classes are suitable for ages 13–18 with a minimum of Grade Six ballet experience. Please note all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop.
