The big day out for our littlest arts lovers is back!

Bring a sense of adventure, your favourite teddy bear and the whole family to The Esplanade for a free fun day like no other. City of Darwin Teddy Bears’ Picnic is an annual institution and this year we’ve planned a morning with the lot!

Parents, you’re used to taking pics of the kids. Well acclaimed interactive art experience I See You Like This turns the camera around and invites children to art direct a creative portrait directly on your face! Running all morning from 9am-12pm, this is an interactive experience for the whole family you wont want to miss.

Play your favourite party games in a bubble-filled children’s disco to the backing of a blend of kid-friendly tunes. Specifically designed for all the kids (and parents) that love a boogie, this dance party will bring the energy and vibes all morning long.

Help artist Peta Goodrem decorate a hungry papier maché frog and its dragonfly snacks in this floating installation that will grow over the morning.

As well as the stalls you know and love; tea parties, teddy bear hospital, free fruit, a live radio broadcast and of course it wouldn’t be a Teddy Bears’ Picnic without a photo and cuddle with big Ted. Plus a huge cast of roving performers, face painting and all your favourite artistic activities.
