Chief Executive Officer

Darwin Festival seeks Chief Executive Officer to provide outstanding collaborative leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the Festival, working closely with Artistic Director, Felix Preval.

Responsible for the strategic direction, vision and financial health of the organisation, the CEO has direct reports from the managers of the Operations, Finance, Programming, Marketing, Development, Production, Ticketing and Bars departments.

The Chief Executive Officer holds key external relationships with government funders and agencies, corporate sponsors, partners, media, suppliers and the general public.

This role requires a sound knowledge of the arts, high-level organisational skills and an appreciation of the balancing act required to simultaneously achieve great artistic, cultural and financial outcomes.

Leading and developing a talented and committed team, the CEO will ensure the highest standards of delivery are met, and that the Festival’s program resonates with its community and is as sustainable as it is compelling.
