The Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards (NATSIAA) return to the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory with an exhibition showcasing the very best Australian Indigenous art from around the country.

The NATSIAA are the most prestigious art awards for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and are now the richest art awards in the country. Each year sees an increasing variety of art forms and media, collectively demonstrating the richness and diversity of current contemporary Indigenous artistic practice and the pre-eminence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices within the visual arts.

On Friday 5 August be part of the opening night celebrations and Awards ceremony, an evening of incredible live performance, music and dance, set on the picturesque MAGNT lawns. Bring a picnic or order from the food village on site, where a paid bar will be operating. Then from 8pm on opening night, visit the exhibition and experience the inspiring breadth of work from emerging and established artists.
