RED DESERT, ENDLESS SKY: SONGS FROM THE CENTRE

More Info

Music has the power to transport you to another time and place, and this very special collaboration will have you feeling the dust beneath your feet and basking in the glow of the red desert moon.

Songs from the desert are given new life in the tropics as a supergroup of Alice Springs performers brings an evening of music shaped by the stark and fertile landscape of Central Australia. Live-looping cellist and songstress XAVIA; Resin Moon, the electronic incarnation of producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dave Crowe; Western Aranda singer Casii Williams; and singer/songwriters Paul Ah Chee and Bambadino are all prominent Alice artists, known for their solo careers and many collaborations. For Darwin Festival they have teamed up, together with choir director and arranger Edward Gould, to perform an unmissable showcase of their eclectic music, all accompanied by the voices of Alice Sings Community Choir.

Red Desert, Endless Sky: Songs from the Centre is an evocative collaboration that embodies the inescapable dramatic beauty of the desert and celebrates a place these artists call home.
