Celebrate the multitude of roles that women play in our world – from nurturer to rock star, dancer to researcher – in a brand-new cabaret event.
When three female scientists, a band and a group of burlesque performers come together at The Railway Club the result is STEAMy – that’s Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics kind of STEAM!
Three magnificent women working in science share eye-opening stories about how their work improves the livelihoods of all women. Across diverse areas including feminism and fisheries, genetics and medical anthropology, our entertaining speakers show us that women are more than the sum of their parts – although their parts do matter. Enveloped in a swathe of divine burlesque and with music by The Ovulators and Alice Cotton, women are brought to the forefront for an all feminist, all liberating, occasionally raunchy, inspiring night of entertainment celebrating mind and body.
Please be advised that The Epi(c)phannies will not be performing as part of this event.
