How to Purchase

  • Head to our What’s On page and click the Buy Tickets button on your chosen event page.
  • Follow the prompts to complete your booking.
  • You’ll have the option to:
    • Keep shopping for multiple events, or
    • Proceed to checkout.
  • Click the cart icon in the top right of any page to begin the checkout process at any time.
  • You’ll need to register or log in if you have an existing account.
  • Ensure your billing address is up to date, as card payments are verified against it.
  • Once your order is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email — this is your e-ticket.
  • Show the confirmation email on your smartphone for door scanning at performances.
  • You can add your e-tickets to Google or Apple Wallet:
    • Open the booking confirmation on your phone.
    • Below the ITEM SUMMARY, select the option to add to your wallet.
  • Prefer printed tickets? Pick them up at the Darwin Festival Box Office at Festival Park.

Tickets can be purchased over the phone through the Darwin Festival Box Office during opening hours.

Please note: Friends Priority Booking period runs from Wednesday 4 June at 9am to Friday 6 June at 9am. During this time, only Friends will be able to purchase tickets over the phone for the full program. This excludes pre-sale events, which are already on sale and include: Guy Sebastian, L.A.B, La Ronde and Conversations Live.

Darwin Entertainment Centre

Tickets for events at the Darwin Entertainment Centre (DEC) or Darwin Amphitheatre can be purchased through the Darwin Festival website, at yourcentre.com.au, by emailing boxoffice@yourcentre.com.au, or by calling (08) 8980 3333 (Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm).

You can also buy tickets directly from the DEC box office 1 hour prior to performances.

Transaction fees will apply for online, phone and in person sales.

Save with a Multipack 
Save 10% when you buy full priced tickets to 4 or more Darwin Festival direct from Darwin Entertainment Centre in the same transaction. Discount calculated at checkout. Note that Friends of the Festival discounts do not apply to tickets purchased from the Darwin Entertainment Centre website or Box Office.

Deckchair Cinema

Tickets can also be purchased at the Deckchair Cinema Box Office or online at deckchaircinema.com. 

Transaction fees apply for online sales.

Ticket collection

E-Ticket

When you buy your tickets online, over the phone or at our Box Office counter, you will receive an email confirmation of your booking – this is your e-ticket.

Present your tickets on your smartphone—either directly from the email or via your saved ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet—for scanning by venue staff upon arrival.

Postage

Darwin Festival does not offer ticket postage. If for any reason you are not able to receive an email confirmation to use as your ticket, please get in touch with us on (08) 8943 4222 or boxoffice@darwinfestival.org.au and we can arrange pick up at our Festival Park Box Office prior to the event.

Ticket concessions

Concession tickets are available for the following:

  • Full-time students
  • Children (12) twelve years and under
  • Pensioner and carer concession card holders including Concession Scheme Card
  • Health Care Card holders
  • Seniors Card holders
  • BasicsCard holders
  • Companion Card holders
  • Australian Defence Force personnel
  • International defence force personnel

Proof of concession must be produced to obtain the concession price. Concessions are only available where advertised.

Entry is free for children (2) two years and under (subject to advertised age restrictions).
Entry is free for 12 years and under for Amphitheatre and Darwin Ski Club events, but you need to book a free ticket.

Community Tix

Darwin Festival is committed to fostering inclusivity by making our events accessible to as many members of the community as possible. We are offering free and low-cost tickets to the events listed below for:

  • Not-for-profit organisations and charities
  • First Nations and multicultural organisations
  • Patrons with a valid Pension Card, Health Care Card, or Basics Card

Events offering Community Tix:

Please note that there is a limit on the number of Community Tix available per event.

Bangarra Dance Theatre is proud to offer Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community members, and those who work alongside First Nations peoples, access to $15 tickets for Illume.

Terms and Conditions

Ticket sales through the Darwin Festival website, call centre or in person at Box Offices attract a $5.50 (incl GST) transaction fee. Gift voucher purchases, merchandise purchases and donations undertaken separately outside of ticket purchases do not attract transaction fees.

Tickets to Darwin Festival events purchased from third-party ticket providers may attract a transaction fee for online, phone and in person sales.

Ticket buyers are advised to carefully read the special conditions listed on the event webpage and during the purchase process to avoid disappointment.

Darwin Festival undertakes ticket sales in compliance with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice and Australian Consumer Law.
