CONRAD TIPUNGWUTI KAMILOWRA

Turtiyanginari amintiya Purrungbarri – Ochre and Stringybark
Free Event

Conrad brings his gestural jilamara (ochre designs) to both linen paintings, and for the first time a significant collection of purrungbarri (stringybark).

Tipungwuti applies locally sourced earth pigments to create innovative compositions that draw on the circular motifs of Kulama (Tiwi coming of age ceremony) and yirrinkiripwoja (ceremonial body design).
