A celebration of the work of three inspiring Martumili artists.
In 2002, while living at Kunawarritji, Bugai Whyoulter welcomed the return of Nora Nungabar and Nora Wompi. The two Nora’s were already respected artists after spending considerable time at Balgo Mission painting for Warlayirti Artists. They encouraged Bugai to join them and it was this union of Pujiman (bush or desert born) that sparked an extraordinary period of painting for Martumili artists. Pujiman Wanti is a celebration of these three incredible matriarchs.
Presented by SALON Art Projects and Paul Johnstone Gallery in association with Martumili Artists
