Looking into Wurrandan Marawili’s art is like looking into rippling water.
Different levels emerge as you look more deeply. The brilliant etched surface of his discarded road signs and the intricate cross hatch of his work in natural ochres on bark and wood mask hidden layers. Initially discovered through Instagram Wurrandan is now a major artist.
Presented by SALON Art Projects and Outstation Gallery in association with Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre
