Darwin Festival is calling out to Territory artists to share their artistic proposals for consideration in the 2019 Festival program. The curated Festival is looking to connect with local artists, companies and arts workers who have ideas, works in progress or performance-ready works.

Darwin Festival is passionate about connecting with the cultural and artistic diversity of the Northern Territory. Proposals are accepted across all art forms and can include collaborations with other artists as well as youth or community projects.

“Held over 18 days and night in August each year, Darwin Festival is proud to showcase the breadth and diversity of talent in the Northern Territory,” said Emily Mann, Darwin Festival Chief Executive Officer.

“After a record-breaking 2018 Festival showcasing 703 performers, including 400 local NT artists, across 228 events, we are now developing the 2019 Darwin Festival program and invite NT artists to submit their expressions of interest. It will be Darwin Festival’s 40th birthday in 2019, so we’re seeking bold and innovative Northern Territory projects and performances.”

Darwin Festival will hold a local artists’ information session at Brown’s Mart Theatre on Wednesday 10 October at 5.30pm. Submissions close Friday 16 November 2018.

The 2019 Darwin Festival will be held on 8-25 August 2019.
