Fri 11 Aug DJ Kimani

with DJ RaggaRae

Opening night sees the legendary Dj Kimani (from The Chiefrockers crew) drop his blend of reggaeton, afro beat, hip hop and R ‘n’ B to open the Festival with a bang. He’ll be playing alongside Dj RaggaRae, who loves taking her audience on a world music journey accenting well-known old-school hits amongst new bangers and unheard beats, lyrics and language.

Sat 12 Aug
DJ JNETT
with DJ Dhe Man

DJ Dhe Man from B2M, the band that “Awi” originated from, plays a midnight set to bring in the after party of the NIMAs. DJ Dhe Man’s selection of high high energy dance floor fillers and nostalgic Territory throwbacks will compliment the night’s opening act – the highly celebrated and iconic DJ JNETT, who is renowned in the Australian dance music scene. Her magnetic energy and impeccable DJing skills have seen her in hot demand throughout her more than two-decades long career.

Fri 18 Aug
Shantan Wantan Ichiban
with DJ JEM

A radio presenter, party thrower, beat maker and one of the country’s finest DJs, Shantan does it all. Holding it down at triple j, Shantan Wantan Ichiban is the presenter of our national broadcaster’s Friday House Party. Following in the footsteps of DJs like Nina Las Vegas, KLP and Ebony Boadu, each week Shantan brings a wide-ranging mix of club heaters to hundreds of thousands of listeners. In the primetime slot of 10pm on a Friday, he is the country’s bringer of the weekend, getting Australia on the dance floor with his superb music selection and microphone presence. Alongside him will be riddim heavy DJ JEM who is putting a new show together with vibrant dancers and a selection of new tunes

Sat 19 Aug MzRizk

with Miss Possum

Award winning Lebanese Australian DJ, radio presenter and event curator MzRizk is a self-taught, community emboldened, creative chameleon who has garnered widespread acclaim as one of Melbourne’s most respected house, jazz, soul, disco, hip-hop, and Arabic music savant. Fri 25 Aug
SANGEET संगीत (Curated by Naina Sen)
with DJ SLV

A reimagining of a popular pre-wedding tradition in parts of India and South East Asia, for one night only, Club Awi presents SANGEET संगीत,  a party, a gathering, a communal ritual. This celebration of community through music and dance is curated by filmmaker and video artist Naina Sen. Local Nepalese Dj SLV will close out the night.

Sat 26 Aug NELYA
with DJ DemiRep & DJ Pet Rat

Nelya loves to throw down club beats from around the globe as well as from underrepresented producers. As a local favourite in the queer scene in Kaurna Yerta, she does her best to mix queer intersectional and unapologetic floor fillers with nostalgic club hits. Now performing simply under the name NELYA, she has brought her signature flavour to music festivals and we’re so lucky to have her play Club Awi’s final night. She’ll be joined by NT DJs DemiRep and Pet Rat who both have reputations of taking crowds to new levels.
