ARIA and Golden Guitar Award-winner Fanny Lumsden’s shows are one of a kind – an all-in-community-night-out, where joy and exuberance combine in a high-energy performance.
Backed by her incredible band The Pack, Fanny’s intimate Australian storytelling is delivered with warmth and luscious harmonies in an evening of kick ass alt-country with a whole lot of heart. A Fanny Lumsden live show is hilarious, inclusive and adventurous, somehow successfully including moments of totem tennis and synchronised swimming.
Having grown up on a property in western NSW and spending most of her time touring regional Australia in a caravan, Fanny’s songs are born of the red dirt, the servos, the snowy mountains and the people in between. Her third album Fallow won the 2020 ARIA for Best Country Album and Album of the Year at the CMAA Golden Guitar Awards in January (adding to the other seven Golden Guitars she now has!) and to hear it live is a massive treat for country music fans.
Reviews
’It ’s like she ’s harnessed the greatest attributes of Gillian Welch and Dolly Parton.’
The Music
‘Strong melodies and sharp lyrical observations… will make fans out of people who would ordinarily turn up their noses at the genre.’
