Celebrate the Northern Territory’s finest poets and spoken word artists in special Poetry Month showcase under the stars.

An initiative of Australia’s leading poetic organisation, Red Room Poetry, Poetry Month is held each year in August as a national celebration of poetry in all its forms, for all audiences. This year’s NT Showcase will celebrate the work of acclaimed local and national poets in a program featuring short poetic films, spoken word, live music and poetry readings. Melanie Mununggurr, Mililma May, Laurie May, Sean Choolburra and Sandra Thibodeaux plus guest VJ Jean Poole creating live visuals in response to the verse are part of an all-star line-up hosted by Nicole Smede, setting the winter night –and the mic – alight.
