Scout Boxall’s always been built differently.
Following an absolutely dynamite debut at Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2021, Best Newcomer nominee Scout is bringing their trademark manic energy to Darwin Festival for the very first time with their latest solo show Buck Wild.
Blending stand up, sketch and storytelling Buck Wild invites the audience to experience the exhilarating highs and devastating lows of bipolar, which Scout was diagnosed with at 18. This daring show deftly treads the boundary between theatre and comedy, underscored with an immersive original soundtrack of electro pop. It’s a celebration of survival and a love letter to Formula 1, the Muppets, f*%kable dolphins and Arnott’s Assorted Creams. It’s cerebral chaos that veers between the poetic, the absurd and the darkly funny.
